Flight assistant

Air Grischa Helikopter AG (now Swiss Helicopter AG)

I started my career in aviation after my apprenticeship as a car mechanic in Klosters. In 2003, I was given the opportunity to start as a flight assistant at the former Air Grischa in Untervaz, which is now called Swiss Helicopter. I was then able to complete my training as an airplane/helicopter mechanic. The technology and manufacturers from all over the world in the helicopter business were extremely interesting for me. The English language opened up a new world for me from Prättigau.

Helicopter mechanic

Swiss Helicopter Maintenance AG

As a licensed helicopter engineer with a Part 66 licence, I was able to transfer to the sister company SHM in Balzers. This was followed by interesting years as a mechanic on various types of helicopters such as K-Max, Alouette, etc. We worked in the hangar or at the customer's site whenever we needed to. I was able to acquire a great deal of technical expertise and experience during these 6 years.

Young pilot

Swiss Helicopter AG

In 2014, I was able to realise my future career and was given the opportunity to start as a junior pilot at Swiss Helicopter AG in Untervaz. After my time with sightseeing and taxi flights, I was able to complete my training to become a sub-pilot. This included the so-called HESLO 1 - 4. This training programme lasted a total of three years, and my technical knowledge was certainly an advantage.

Part-time base manager and pilot

Swiss Helicopter AG

I have now been part of the team in Untervaz as a base pilot for 10 years and have been in charge of the Untervaz base as base manager and aerodrome manager for two years. This means a lot of variety, demands and responsibility, which I am happy to take on every day. So that my family doesn't miss out, I have been working an 80% part-time job for 4 years and enjoy my family as a balance.
