Christoph Schmid<\/strong> will assume the position of Managing Director of Swiss Helicopter AG as of January 1, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following a structured handover phase starting October 1, 2025, with his predecessor, he will take responsibility for around 130 employees, 34 helicopters, and 15 locations in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Board of Directors is pleased with the appointment. Severin Riedi, Chairman of the Board of SHG, emphasizes: “With this appointment, the successfully initiated path can be consistently continued. Christoph Schmid not only brings many years of international leadership experience but also strategic insight and personal integrity – key prerequisites for leading Swiss Helicopter AG responsibly and with a future-oriented approach.”<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christoph Schmid looks forward to his new role with great anticipation. For him, aviation is far more than just a new professional chapter – the passion for flying has accompanied him since childhood. Since then, he has been fascinated by the technology, international scope, and dynamics of aviation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
